David Foster and Adrian Gurvitz

At Chartmaker, songwriter Adrian Gurvitz was invited to work on a new song with the Grammy Award winning producer, David Foster.

Shot on Kodak 100ASA motion picture film f 2.8 at 1/60th of a second exposure.  The film was pushed to ASA 1000.  No flash and handheld camera.

Dave Reitzas, engineer with David Foster, producer and songwriter Adrian Gurvitz.  In May 1990 Adrian  Gurvitz met with David Foster for the first time and worked on demoing a new song.  Later David produced a Gurvitz/Golde composition for the Bodyguard Album for Aaron Neville and Kenny G "Even If My Heart Would Break"

Grammy Award winning producer, David Foster sits at the recording console during a demo session with songwriter Adrian Gurvitz.  Chartmaker was located near Zuma Beach in Malibu.  A mecca for some of the big names in the music business, Chartmaker was a relaxed and creative setting for an otherwise intense working environment.

David Foster and Dave Reitzas

David Foster and Dave Reitzas, engineer working at Chartmaker Studios in May 1990.  David Foster at the time was well on his way to becoming one of the most prolific and successful record producers in the business.  As the owner of Chartmaker Studios, some of the biggest names in recording performed on their recordings at the Malibu location.  Dave Reitzas has also become one of the most sought after engineers and producers of pop and rock music.

This photo was shot on chrome motion picture film without flash,  The film was pushed to 1000 ASA with an f-stop of 2.8 at 1/30th of a second shutter speed.
